TECH DOWNS PATRIOTS BEHIND ARM OF CLONTZ

Sophomore Brad Clontz pitched a complete game three-hitter in his first collegiate start to lead Virginia Tech to a 7-2 baseball victory over George Mason in the Hokies' home opener at English Field.

Clontz struck out 13 and walked three, allowing only one baserunner to reach second over the last 6 innings after Tech fell behind 2-0.
