GEORGE WYTHE FALLS IN HOGOHEEGEE FINALS

Second-seeded Lebanon knocked off top-seeded George Wythe 70-63 Saturday night in the championship game of the Hogoheegee District tournament at Emory & Henry.

The Maroons, the regular season district champions, will advance with the Pioneers to the Region C Tournament next week, also in Emory.

Ben Campbell scored 16 points, Tony Jackson 14, Allen Scott 13 and Jeff Campbell 11 for Lebanon, which outscored the Maroons 24-14 in the final quarter to come from behind.

Chris Waddell led George Wythe with 17 points, followed by Allen Green with 15 and Geoff Goff 12.
