DAVIS-KRAUS

Bonnie Gail Kraus and Ensign Richard Weldon Davis were married March 2 at Westhampton Christian Church. The Rev. James Burton and Dr. Joe Detamore officiated. The reception was held at Hidden Valley Country Club.

The matron of honor was Kelly Perry, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kimberly Gardner, Cynthia Kinsey, and Michele Will, friends of the bride. The flower girl was Sara Handy, cousin of the bride. Best man was David Branning, friend of the groom. Groomsen were Midshipman Jason Davis, brother of the groom, Ensign John Dickinson, III and Ensign Michael Shetler, friends of the groom. The saber arch included Kevin Oakes, Alex Bruzzano, Chris Byrom, Ben Dichoso, Troy Ingle, Kevin Knudson, and Max Marble of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, friends of the bride and groom. The guestbook was attended by Cathy Clark, friend of the bride.

The bride wore a gown of white satin with venise lace, Elizabethan sleeves, and a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of stephanotis with a single orchid. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Kraus of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Virginia Tech. She is employed by Manpower, Inc., with their hotel accounts.

The groom is the son of Capt. and Mrs. Ralph R. Davis of Glenwood, Iowa. He is a graduate of Naples American High School in Naples, Italy, and Virginia Tech. He is a student pilot in the Naval Aviation Training Command at NAS Whiting Field, Florida.

The newlyweds will live in Pensacola, Fla., after a honeymoon skiing trip to Snowshoe.
