TAYLOR-SUMMERS

Mary Elaine Summers and James Lenard Taylor, Jr., were wed during an evening ceremony on September 8, 1990, at The Capitol Hill Club in Washington, D.C. The Reverend Donald E. Robinson officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. Summers of Roanoke. The groom is the son of Shirley and the late James L. Taylor, Sr. of Ryland, North Carolina.

The maid of honor was Margaret Clair Skelly of Roanoke. Anne McKenna Rogers and Susan Flynn Thomas, both of Alexandria, were bridesmaids. The best man was Kenneth Danser of Norfolk, with Howard Leikin of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Paul Jarvis of Chesapeake, serving as ushers. The guestbook was attended by Anna Moriah Myers of Roanoke, and Alison Renahan of Alexandria.

Mrs. Taylor is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Salem College in Winston-Salem, N.C. She is an emergency management specialist for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Mr. Taylor graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, and received a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Delaware. He is currently Assistant Administrator for the Federal Insurance Administration.

Following a honeymoon trip to Belize, Central America, the couple now make their home in Alexandria.
