OBIT HIGGINS, C.

Carl Hunter Higgins Sr., age 46, died Saturday, March 2, 1991, at Waynesboro Community Hospital. Born in Rockbridge County, March 23, 1944, he was the son of the late Samuel Robert Higgins Sr. and Mattie Isabelle Miller Higgins. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Higgins, Raphine; three sons, Carl H. Higgins Jr. and David Ray Higgins Sr., both of Buena Vista; Christopher Higgins, Raphine; one foster son, Terry Doyle, Staunton; two daughters, Barbara Snell, Stuarts Draft; Patricia Higgins, Greenville; two brothers, Robert Higgins and Charles Higgins, both of Lexington; five sisters, Lula H. Horn and Edna H. Alvis, both of Richmond; Theresa Mays and Alice Woody, both of Lexington; Linda Dunlap, Roanoke; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Claude Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer A.R.P. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
