3 FROM LYNCHBURG KILLED IN I-64 CRASH

Speed and slick roads may have contributed to a fiery crash that left three Virginia sisters dead and their brother hospitalized, state police said.

Police said Sharlene Yuille, 20, of Lynchburg, Va., and her sisters, Consuela, 17, and Tammy, 19, were killed in the Sunday afternoon crash in the eastbound lane of Interstate 64 about 15 miles west of Charleston.

Their brother, Brian Yuille, 25, was in surgery Sunday at Charleston Area Medical Center; Chris Parker, age unavailable, also of Lynchburg, was in serious condition at the burn unit of Cabell Huntington Hospital. Police said it wasn't immediately clear who had been driving.

Rescue workers and firefighters closed the interstate for about two hours while treating victims and clearing the wreckage.
