Wardeh Rosie Metassi Melki, age 77, of Friendship Manor, died Sunday. She was the widow of Joseph Melki and is survived by four sons, Elias Melki, Roanoke; George Melki, Vinton; Michel Melki, Pierre Melki, both of Roanoke; six stepchildren, Abdou Melki, Melki Melki, Sadie Sliba, Abraham Melki, Aziz Melki, Elaine Karin, all of Roanoke; two sisters, Kahtum David, Mona Daho; brother, John Metassi, all of Sweden; 9 grandchildren; 26 stepgrandchildren. Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Elias Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 1991, with the Rev. Msgr. Assad Awad officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrews Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, where friends may call Tuesday evening.
