Mrs. Frances K. Stevens, age 89, of Salem died Tuesday, March 5, 1991. She was a member of the Eastern Star and also a member of the First United Methodist Church, Salem. She was a member of Bonsack and Valley View Garden Club, American Legion Auxiliary, A.A.R.P. Opportunity Bible Class, and Salem Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred N. Stevens and a son, Fred H. Stevens. She is survived by her daughters, Rosalie S. Myers, Florida; Mary S. Johnson, Richmond; Barbara S. Boone, Boones Mill; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem with Pastor Ernest Deyerle officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
