SANFORD, FLA. - Kathleen B. Ellett, age 79, of Sanford, Fla., formerly of Pocahontas, Va. died Sunday, March 3, 1991 at Lakeview Nursing Center in Sanford, Fla. Born May 23, 1901 in Radford, Va., she was the daughter of the late Hoge and Mary Etta Miller Brown. Mrs. Ellett graduated from Radford College in 1922 and went to Pocahontas, Va. to teach school. She met her husband, Frank C. Ellett, there and married in 1924. She was active in Pocahontas Baptist Church, as treasurer of the Missionary Society over 60 yrs., teaching in Sunday School, etc. She was a charter member and trustee of the Pocahontas Womans Club and active in civic affairs. The Elletts moved to Sanford in 1988 and resided at Lakeview Nursing Center. Survivors include her husband, Frank C. Ellett, Sanford, Fla.; daughters, Mary E. Dunn, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Dorothy E. Head, Sandford, Fla.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pocahontas Baptist Church, Pocahontas, Va. with the Dr. Chevis Horne and the Rev. Roy Lester officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bluewell, W.Va. Friends may call Thursday, March 7 between the hours of 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. at the Pocahontas Baptist Church in Pocahontas, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Frank C. and Kathleen B. Ellett Scholarship Fund, Bluefield College, Bluefield, Va. 24605.
