FIRST NEW SATURN ARRIVES IN SALEM

Hart Motor Co. of Salem unloaded its first model of the new General Motors Saturn car on Tuesday and said it also has begun selling General Motors light trucks under the franchise purchased from Dickerson GMC Truck Peterbilt Inc. of Roanoke.

Carlos Hart, owner of the company, said his newly renovated Saturn showroom should have 30 to 40 models on hand for an April 4 grand opening. Also, Hart said, he is selling pickups, vans, 4-by-4s and Jimmy's of 1-ton capacity and less. Dickerson will continue to offer medium- and heavy-duty GMC and Peterbilt trucks. - Staff report
