Jerry Lewis, approaching his 65th birthday, is marking his 60th year in show business by working on a new film.

Lewis is in the Arizona desert filming, "Arrow-Tooth Waltz," with Faye Dunaway and Johnny Depp.

The film is the 53rd Lewis has appeared in since making his movie debut in "My Friend Irma" with former partner Dean Martin 42 years ago.

Lewis made his show business debut at age 5, singing in a New York hotel. His birthday is March 16.

\ Kirstie Alley and Parker Stevenson have bought the Islesboro Inn in Islesboro Maine, says the inn's former owner.

Alley, who stars in the TV show "Cheers," and her husband, also a TV and screen actor, plan to make the inn into a summer home, said former owner Kathleen Waterman. Waterman described the oceanfront mansion as "one of the loveliest of the so-called Dark Harbor summer cottages."
