TAX HELP AVAILABLE IN TWO LOCATIONS

sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service and Tax Counseling for the Elderly, a service of the League of Older Americans - is available in Covington and Clifton Forge.

Volunteers are trained by the IRS and must pass an examination.

They will provide free assistance to low-income, elderly and handicapped individuals. Those using the service are asked to bring with them a copy of their 1989 tax return.

The service is available at:

Clifton Forge Senior Citizens Center, 609 McCormick Blvd., 24422; Mondays through Fridays or when needed, 1-4 p.m.; 703-862-1688.

Covington Senior Center, 1011 N. Rockridge Ave., 24436; Mondays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., by appointment only.
