LOFLAND, CARL A., JR./ Carl A. Lofland, Jr., age 61, of Rosedale, Ind.,
formerly of Roanoke, died March 6, 1991 at Vermillion County Hospital,
Clinton, Ind. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of North
Terre Haute. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. Surviving are his
wife, Rubie Keith Lofland, Rosedale, Ind.; daughter, Judith C. (Judy) Jacobs
and son-in-law, Hugh G. Jacobs, Terre Haute, Ind.; son, Carl A. Lofland, III
and daughter-in-law, Linda Lofland, Indianapolis, Ind.; granddaughter, Angela
Marie Jacobs, Terre Haute, Ind.; four grandsons, Steven Gordon Jacobs,
Atlantic Heights, N.J.; Mark Edward Jacobs, USAF, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.;
Jeffrey Keith Jacobs, USAF, Ford Devens, Mass.; Michael Lee Jacobs, Goodfellow
Air Force Base, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Jamie, Joshua, April; his
mother, Mrs. C.A. (Mabel R.) Lofland, Roanoke; four sisters, Frances Wright,
Salem; Mary Miller, Peru, Ill.; Dorcas Lofland, Roanoke; Sally McNamee,
Arlington. The funeral will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. at the Mattox-Wood Funeral
Home Chapel, Terre Haute, Ind. with the Rev. Paul Carey officiating. Graveside
service will be at Fairview Cemetery, Roanoke on Monday, 10:00 a.m. with Rev.
F. Daniel Wright officiating. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. In lieu
flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist
Church of North Terre Haute, 3100 Hall Ave., Terre Haute, Ind. 47805.
