Mr. Clifford Rayvon Whitley, Sr., of Salem, died Wednesday, March 6, 1991. He was retired from Reliance Universal, Roanoke and was formerly employed by B&R Auto Parts in Salem. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Annie H. Whitley; sons, Robert D. Whitley, Calif.; Trent C. Whitley, Nev.; Clifford R. Whitley, Jr., Salem; Richard L. Whitley, Salem; brothers, John Whitley, Salem; Grover Whitley, N.C.; sisters, Gerta Mae Herlocker, Ruth Reavis, Margaret Hatley, Louise Norris, all of N.C.; Dee Lindstrom, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem with Rev. William F. Murdock officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
