OBIT NELMS, J.

John Crispin (Buck) Nelms, age 84, died Thursday, March 7, 1991 at Lewis Gale Hospital. He was a son of the late, Charles Dandridge Nelms, Sr. and Lucy Frances Dickenson Nelms. He was a member of the Villamont Presbyterian Church and was retired from REA Express of Roanoke. Surviving are his wife, Dora Dobyns Nelms; a son, Samuel C. Nelms and wife Sharon of Villamont; sister and her husband, Matilda and Ted Dameron of Salem; two grandchildren, Jeffrey S. Nelms and Gregory S. Nelms; two stepgrandchildren, Shannon R. Irvine and Ashley D. Spicer, all of Villamont. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dewey V. Page officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday evening.
