VIRGINIA RANKED 6TH IN FACTORY EXPANSION

The state reported 212 new plants and expansions in 1990, according to Conway Data Inc., an Atlanta economic development firm. North Carolina was third with 265 plants and expansions, and Tennessee was eighth with 206.
