UVA SENDS SEVEN TO NCAA TRACK MEET

Virginia's track and field team is sending seven athletes to the NCAA championships today and Saturday at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Ind.

Dana Boone will compete in the triple jump and long jump, and Kelly Bodlford will compete in the shot put. Ginny Figlar, Angie Taylor, Kim Liggins and Laura Colombell will run in the 3,200-meter relay.

Ben Kurgat, in the 800-meter run, is the only member of the men's team competing. - Staff report
