CHRISTIANSBURG TEAMS WIN AT DANCE CONTEST

Dancers from the Dance Place in Christiansburg went to Winston-Salem, N.C., on Feb. 9 to the Professional Dance Teachers Association's "Stars of Tomorrow" talent competition.

The Confederate Kids Cloggers, Tapestry and The Confederate Cloggers, teams directed by Amy Shaffer-Rush, competed. A solo clogging number was performed by Michelle Lookadoo.

The Confederate Kids Cloggers won a third-place trophy in the production category. Tapestry won second in group. The Confederate Cloggers took first in production and third in overall production. Lookadoo was first in the solo clogging division.
