TWO ROANOKE MEN STABBED; NO ARRESTS MADE

A Roanoke man was listed in very serious condition today at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after being stabbed Thursday at the Lincoln Terrace housing project.

Gerald Minnis, 28, was stabbed in the left side of his chest on the 1800 block of Gandy Drive in the housing project around 5 p.m., police said.

He apparently walked to the 2000 block of nearby Bunche Drive, where he was found by responding police officers.

Authorities said today that no arrests have been made, but an investigation was continuing.

Minnis was in the hospital's intensive care unit.

In an unrelated incident, police said a 59-year-old man was stabbed in the back shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Patterson Avenue Southwest.

Everett Crawford was listed in stable condition today at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Police said Crawford was stabbed during a domestic dispute. No arrest had been made.
