OBIT - HAWLEY, A

Alice Young Hawley, 92, died March 8, 1991, in a Salem hospital. She was born March 11, 1898, in Franklin County, daughter of the late Giles and Mary Mullins Young. Her husband, Earl and daughter, Marie preceded her in death by eleven years. She is survived by one daughter, Edith; two grandsons and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 1991, at the Grant E. Bryant Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Steve Sholar. Burial in East Hill Cemetery, Elliston. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Hill Cemetery Fund, in C/O of the Bank of Shawsville, or M. E. Hawley, Secretary-Treasurer of East Hill Cemetery Fund..
