OBIT - BISHOP, W.

William Carlton Bishop Sr., age 62, of 1218 Fauquier Street, S.W., died March 7, 1991. He was an architect with Martin & Associates of Roanoke. He was a member of Roanoke Lodge Loyal Order of Moose #284 and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by five children, Linda Bishop Kane, Raleigh, N.C.; William C. Bishop Jr. and Cathy Canning, both of N.J.; Steven R. Bishop, N.Y.; Susan Bishop Jackson, N.J.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Forrest E. Bishop Jr., New Castle; two sisters, Ernestine Jewell Powell, Roanoke; Peggy LaMonica, N.J.; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, with the Rev. Charles R. Doyle officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
