Mary Ellen Godbey, age 82, died Friday, March 8, 1991, in the Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was retired from Food Service at V.P.I. & S.U. with thirty one years service. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Reba Godbey of Blacksburg; three sisters, Virginia Wright, Hattie Peele, both of Blacksburg; Viola Hall of Christiansburg; two grandchildren, Jerry Godbey of Blacksburg; Jane Jewell of Richmond; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 11, 1991, at 11:00 a.m. in the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jerry G. Sloss officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends Sunday evening 7:00 to 9:00 at the Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
