TECH TAKES TWO FROM HOWARD

Virginia Tech swept a doubleheader from Howard on Friday as J.R. Hawkins and Les Jennette both went 2-for-3 and had five RBI between them in the first game and Scott Robertson pitched a four-hit shutout in the second.

Mark Overholt picked up the win with four shutout innings of relief for the Hokies (5-2) in the first game. Justin Dobson went 3-for-3 with a double and four runs scored in the second game and Robertson only faced 26 batters in routing the winless Bison (0-11).
