EIGHTH INNING OUTBURST LIFTS RADFORD TO WIN

Five runs in the eighth inning propelled Radford to a 12-7 college baseball win over Western Carolina on Friday at Dedmon Center Park.

Trailing 7-6 going into the eighth, the Highlanders (3-6-2) got run-scoring singles from Donnie Just, Kenny Dawkins and Travis Morgan to break open the game.

Chris Connolly picked up the victory in relief, tossing two no-hit innings and striking out four batters. The Catamounts fell to 8-10 on the season.
