LAUREL PARK PLACES TWO ON ALL-REGION TEAM

Laurel Park's Odell Hodge and Lemont Wells are on the All-Region III boys' basketball team chosen by the coaches and athletic directors.

The two Lancers are joined by five other players from Timesland on the 10-man team.

Northside's Chad Briscoe, Lord Botetourt's Bobby Prince and Alleghany's Darren Wheatley represent the Blue Ridge District.

Joining Hodge and Wells from the Piedmont District are Chatham's Darrell White and Bassett's Adam Varner.

The team is rounded out by Nelson County's Herbie Elcox, Altavista's David Johnson and Buckingham County's Albert Spradley. - Staff report
