LUTZ-MEIER

Jo Linda Meier and Dr. James David Lutz were married January 5, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Columbus, IN. The Reverend Eldon L. Brandt solemnized the 5:30 p.m. exchange of vows. An evening reception was held at the Crystal Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Holidome in Columbus, IN. The couple currently resides in Auburn, AL.

The bride, daughter of Charles and Joyce Meier of Scipio, IN., graduated from Jennings County High School and Ball State University with a bachelors degree in accounting. She is a certified public accountant and is currently employed as an accountant with Machen, McChesney, and Chastain in Auburn, AL.

The groom, son of Mrs. Jacob A. Lutz, Jr., and the late Prof. Jacob A. Lutz, Jr., of Blacksburg, is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and received a bachelors degree from Virginia Tech in Civil engineering. He is a registered professional engineer and former project manager for Texaco's New Orleans Division. He has M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University and is currently an assistant professor of civil engineering at Auburn University in Auburn, AL.

Matron of honor was Mary Morrison of Hammond, IN. Bridesmaids were Julie Orben of Zionsville, IN., Debbie Caroll of Columbus, IN., Beth Pocza of South Bend, IN., and Patricia Rodgers, sister of the groom, of Murrysville, PA. Flowergirl was Lindsay Wade, niece of the bride, of Batesville, IN.

Best man was Jacob A. Lutz III, brother of the groom, of Richmond, VA. Groomsmen were Brian McDonald of Lafayette, IN., Mathew and Shane Meier, brothers of the bride, of Scipio, IN., and Walter Curtis of Berwick, LA. Usher was Christopher Orben of Zionsville, IN. Ringbearer was Alexander J. Lutz, nephew of the groom, of Richmond, VA.
