SOWDER-RUTH

Kelly Denise Ruth and Robert Anthony Sowder were married February 16, 1991 in Cambria Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert E. Crawford officiated. The reception was held at Christiansburg Fire Department. The maid of honor was Cyndi Ruth, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Kathy Godbey, Joyce Landreth, Layne Worley. Flowergirl was Alicia Wine. The best man was Michael Fox, friend of the groom. The ushers were David Wilson, Ronald Graham, Brian Thompson. Ringbearer was Matthew Wine. The guestbook was attended by Carol Sowder and Julia Sowder. The bride wore a traditional gown of white satin with a Queen Anne neckline that fell to a basque waist, and poet sleeves. She carried a cascading bouquet with miniature white carnations and peach sweetheart roses. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Peggy J. Dalton of Christiansburg, and Mr. Bob J. Ruth of Radford. She is a graduate of Christiansburg High School and New River Community College, and attended Radford University. She is employed by Claytor Lake State Park. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis A. Sowder of Christiansburg, is a graduate of Christiansburg High School, and is employed by Southwest Virginia Tobacco Company. The newlyweds will live in Christiansburg after the wedding trip to Winter Park, Colorado.
