OBIT-BROOKS, A.

Alma Metz Brooks, age 85, of Roanoke, died Sunday, March 10, in a local hospital. She was a member of Melrose Baptist Church. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Garford R., Sr. and Wynona F. Metz, Troutville; a daughter and son-in-law, Colene and Jack Mullins, Roanoke; two sisters, Edith Morris, Allentown, Pa.; Virginia Poe, Durham, N.C.; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 1991, with the Rev. Larry E. Sprouse officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel after 12:00 noon Monday.
