OBIT YOUNG, J.

John B. Young, Sr., age 85, died in his sleep on March 10, 1991, at his home in Bridgewater. He was a resident of Bethesda, Md., until he and his wife, Marion, retired to Bedford, Va., in 1975. Mr. Young resided in Bedford until 1985 when he moved to Bridgewater Retirement Village. He was a member of Bridgewater United Methodist Church. Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marion Hoffa Young, Bridgewater; and their three children, John B. Young, Jr., Baraboo, Wisc.; Margaret Jill Young Culp, Rockville, Md.; Brenda Lee Young Mann, Alexandria; one brother; three sisters; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the Bridgewater United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Michael Kubat and the Rev. Paul Fike officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the Young home, 108 East Rainbow Dr., Bridgewater Retirement Village. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to Patrick Henry Boys Plantation, Rt. 2, Box 25, Brookneal, Va. 24528. Johnson Funeral Service, Bridgewater, is in charge of arrangements.
