BUCHANAN - Myrtle (Granny) Hall Paxton, age 85, died Sunday, March 10, 1991 in a Roanoke hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil D. Paxton; one son, Roy M. Paxton. She is survived by one son, Howard Lee Paxton, Hollins; one daughter, Louise P. Kessler, Buchanan; one sister, Ava H. Powell, Buchanan; seven grandchildren, David Kessler, Linda K. Weade, Patricia K. Brugh, Carolyn P. Fowler, Phyllis K. Irvine, Howard L. Paxton, Jr., Carol Ann Paxton; four great-grandchildren, Jason Lynn Fowler, Forrest D. Kessler, Shana L. Kessler, Regina R. Paxton and five stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2:00 p.m. at the Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephen Creech officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Rader Troutville Chapel.
