Mrs. Marlene Saunders Nichols Allen, died Saturday, March 9 at Columbia Medical Center, New York City, N.Y.. She was the daughter of the late James and Bertha Saunders. Survivors include Thomas W. Nichols; two children, Danielle M. Nichols; Thomas W. Nichols, Jr., all of Roanoke; Rick Allen, New York City, N.Y.; four sisters, Darlene Preston; Barbara A. Bates; Druscilla Brown; Elaine Saunders, all of Roanoke; two brothers, Hardy M. Finney, Salem; Ronnie E. Saunders, Roanoke; one brother-in-law, Rev. Harold Preston, Roanoke; two sisters-in-law, Frances Saunders, Roanoke; Deborah Finney, Salem; host of uncles; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives and friends.
