Mr. Fletcher Marcellas Kates of Willow Road passed away Sunday in a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Delzora H. Kates; one daughter, Judy Kates Bland, and one son, Fletcher Kates Jr., both of Petersburg; three sisters, Rosa Belle Roman, Martinsburg, W.Va.; Pearl Ella Smith, Goulds, Fla.; Nora Thomas, Roanoke; two brothers, William Bullet and Tom Bullet, both of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one son-in-law, Paul C. Bland; two grandchildren, Pamela and Stephanie Bland, all of Petersburg; a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
