`BIGHOUSE' GAINES TO SPEAK AT CHURCH

Clarence "Bighouse" Gaines, the winningest college basketball coach in America, will speak Sunday in Roanoke County.

Gaines' speech will be at 3 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church at 5056 Pleasant Hill Drive S.W., just off Brambleton Avenue. The public is invited.

Gaines' talk will be part of the church's Men's Day program. Roanoke Valley high school coaches and their teams have been invited.

Gaines has won 816 games since he became head coach at Winston-Salem (N.C.) State University in 1946. He has also won numerous honors for community work.
