Three people, including a state police special agent, were killed in a two-car accident in New Kent County, authorities said Monday.

A police spokeswoman said special agent Robert Charles Wilson died at the scene of Sunday's accident on Virginia 30 just outside West Point.

Wilson, 48, was traveling south when another car crossed the center line and struck his car head-on around 3:20 p.m. The occupants of the other car were identified as Robinette Turpin Gwathmey, 70, and Aisha Iman El, 14, both of Aylett. They also were pronounced dead at the scene.

Wilson's wife, Judith, and two of the couple's children were injured. - Associated Press
