Daniel Young, age 73, of 3711 Country Club Rd., died Monday, March 11, 1991. He was a retired Health Officer for Botetourt County. He was a member of Catawba Lodge #342 AF & AM, Fincastle, Scottish Rite Bodies and Kazim Temple Shrine. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Julie Young, Midlothian, Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Y. and Charles Harvey, Max Meadows; four grandchildren, Benjamin R. Webb, Radford; Lauren V. Young, Midlothian; Andrew N. Harvey and Kathryn V. Harvey, Max Meadows; one sister, Flora Popa, Akron, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 14 with the Rev. Michael Chandler and the Rev. Fred Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fincastle Rescue Squad. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
