ACCUSED KILLER SPOKE OF VOICES, WITNESS SAYS

A mental health specialist testifying at the trial of Chander "Bobby" Matta said Tuesday the defendant told her he heard voices that told him to kill three prostitutes.

Leslie Weissman said she interviewed Matta, 22, at the Arlington jail about six weeks after the killings last Memorial Day weekend.

Matta has told psychiatrists and authorities that he often hears voices that control his actions.

Defense attorneys have admitted that their client killed the women, but said he was insane at the time.
