Ruben Amos Lantz, age 83, of 2912 Richards Avenue, N.E., passed away Tuesday. He was a retired conductor from the N & W Railroad. Surviving are his wife, Dealia May Proffit Lantz; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Edward and Laura Lantz, Vinton; Robert Dale and Cathy Lantz, Powhatan; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred (Brownie) and Retha Lantz, Richmond; Hillery and Katherine Lantz, Roanoke; William Joseph and Mary Lantz, Roanoke; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie Mae and Bill Ayers, Sebastian, Fla.; Audrey and Bill Fisher, Troutville; sister-in-law, Mrs. Herbert Lantz, Roanoke; two grandchildren and spouses, Shannon and Tony Colbert, Norman Lynn and Karen Lantz; three great-grandchildren, Andy Lantz, Michael Lantz, and Jason Lantz. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 1991, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. The Rev. Irvin W. Sloan and the Rev. John Hurley will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
