OBIT JOHNSON, R.

Ralph Wendell (Ippy) Johnson, age 76, formerly of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 1991 in the Palmview Health Care Center, Punta Gorda, Fla. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Punta Gorda, a past member of the Bedford Fire Department and the Woodmen of the World. He is survived by his wife, Hazel F. Johnson, Punta Gorda; two sons, Dr. L. Dan Johnson, Atlanta, Ga.; Mr. Wendell B. Johnson, Plantation, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. John K. O'Brien, Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, March 15, 1991 at 10:00 a.m. from the Oakwood Cemetery by Dr. Ron Blankenship. Viewing will begin after 6:00 p.m. Thursday and the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 at the Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
