FRYE, JOSEPH B., SR.

Joseph Bryan (Joe) Frye, Sr., 65, of 821 Newbern Road, Pulaski, died Wednesday morning in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born October 8, 1925 in McCready, he was the son of the late Bryan W. Frye and Carrie Mae Clear Frye. He was a member of the Bob White Boulevard Church of God, Pulaski, being active in many of the church programs. He was retired from Public Works, Pulaski. He was associated with the Christian Book Store at 821 Newbern Road, Pulaski. Mr. Frye was a disabled Veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was also a Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop #196, Chilhowie. He was a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Morturary Science of Cincinnati, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Lola Virginia Blevins Frye; one daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Vivian Garnand and William (Bill) Garnand, Dublin; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Terry Scott Frye and Cathryn Hollins Frye, Dublin; Joseph B. Frye, Jr. and Dianne Tuck Frye, Radford; three granddaughters, Becki Hess and Carie Frye and Stephanie Frye; one grandson, Daniel Frye; several nieces and nephews; three sisters, Mrs. Ed (Charlotte) Martin, Danville; Mrs. John (Joyce) Lambert, Conway, S.C.; Mrs. Bill Joe (Shirley) Troxell, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, William Frye, Sulphur, La.; Lowell T. Frye, Chilhowie. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Bob White Boulevard Church of God, Pulaski with the Rev. James D. Weaver and the Rev. James E. Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be after 12:00 noon Thursday with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Thursday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, 1831 Bob White Boulevard, Pulaski is handling the arrangements.
