Myrtle Virginia Worrell, age 71, of 2155 Hammes Street, died Wednesday, March 13, 1991, in Radford Community Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Glenn J. Worrell; five sons, Elbert Lee Worrell, Jackson, Miss.; Glenn Ellis Worrell, Elliston; Edgar Rufus Worrell, Payne, Ohio; John D. (Johnny) Worrell, Christiansburg; William M. (Bill) Worrell, Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Terri Elizabeth (Betty) Matthews, North Carolina; a sister, Margaret Dickerson, Pulaski; two brothers, Claude Collins, Robert Collins, both of Pulaski; a close friend, Helen J. Ferrell; 17 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday from the Richardson-Horne Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Griffin and the Rev. Wallace Yopp with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials should be sent to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Thursday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
