GOVERNMENT GROUP SETS DISTRICT MEETING

The New River district meeting of the Virginia Governmental Employees Association will be held Tuesday at the Ponderosa Steak House in Christiansburg. Dinner will be at 6 p.m., and the meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

Doug Martin, benefits officer at Virginia Tech, will be the guest speaker. He will update the changes in state employee benefits, including the new Flexible Benefits Program.

All state employees are invited to attend. The VGEA is the only organization representing the concerns of state employees to Virginia legislators.
