Three New River Valley educators will give presentations:
Doug Kingery, supervisor of programs for the gifted in Montgomery County Public Schools, will discuss "Mentors for Independent Research," an enrichment program that pairs secondary students in the gifted program with a community or business person to conduct a research project.
Nancy Eiss, an associate professor at Radford University, will talk about "A Partnership in Science Education," a school-university project that focuses on improving science education starting at the elementary level.
> Phyllis Bishop, assistant superintendent of Pulaski County Public Schools, will discuss implementing systemwide computer-assisted instruction for students.
Phi Delta Kappa meetings are open to the public.
