ROANOKER TREATED FOR LEG WOUND

An 18-year-old Roanoke man was undergoing surgery early today after being shot in the leg Wednesday evening in the 400 block of Harrison Avenue Northwest.

A Roanoke Police Department spokesman said Recceion Jones was shot after two men approached him and one of them pulled a pistol shortly before 7 p.m.

Jones ran for help to a residence in the 500 block of Fifth Street Southwest, and was found lying on the floor when police arrived. He was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
