NOT ALL WITH TAGS LOOK HANDICAPPED

IT USED to be hard to find a handicapped parking place because so many non-disabled abused them. Now it seems all the abusers went to their doctors and obtained permission to have special tags.

I saw a man with a handicapped tag lift a large box on his shoulder and walk briskly into a department store. Wow, was he disabled. I see a lot of older people with handicapped tags. All of them couldn't need them.

I realize a lot of disabilities aren't noticeable, but come on, I know some of you can walk 40 or 50 feet. Might even do you good.

I suppose it's the doctors' fault; they don't want to make their patients angry. I still don't think laziness should be a bona fide handicap. RONALD E. WINDEL SR. ROANOKE
