Mrs. Alice Harris Wright, age 97, of Clearview Manor in Vinton, died Thursday, March 14, 1991. She was the widow of Samuel A. Wright and a member of the Melrose Baptist Church for over 50 years. Surviving are one son, R. Kent Wright, Roanoke; grandson and wife, R. Kent Wright, II and Janice Wright, Canton, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Whitney Nicole Wright, Robert Kent Wright, III, both of Canton, Ga. Also surviving are one sister-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at the Fair View Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Melrose Baptist Church or a favorite charity. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
