COPPER HILL - John David Jenks Sr., age 61, died Thursday in the VA Medical Center, Salem. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Wood Jenks, Copper Hill; three daughters and two sons-in-law, June and Buddy Brunk, Montvale; Lillian Qandil, Roanoke; Robin and Dwight Brown, Check; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John D. Jenks Jr., Copper Hill; Wesley and Bridgette Link, Salem; Joey and Laurerie Link, Roanoke; eight grandchildren; one sister, Molly Whorley, Montvale; two brothers, Sam Jenks, Roanoke; Guy Jenks, Salem. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, Floyd with the Rev. Douglas Jones officiating with burial in Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home, Floyd.
