WOMAN SENTENCED AFTER DRUG CONVICTION

A Pulaski woman was sentenced to 12 months in jail earlier this week in Pulaski County Circuit Court after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine.

Hazel Brown Webb, 36, was arrested last April when members of the Pulaski County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant of a friend's home and found Webb holding a stuffed toy animal.

Investigators said the toy animal had been delivered to the residence filled with cocaine, but the drugs had been removed and hidden under a cushion on the couch where Webb was seated when the raid took place.
