PULASKI WILL HOLD WALKAMERICA APRIL 27

The 1991 Pulaski County WalkAmerica will be held April 27 at the New River Valley Fairgrounds. Registration for the 5-mile walk - or 10-mile optional walk - begins at 8 a.m.

The goal of the walk is to raise money for the March of Dimes, which is helping to prevent birth defects. The Pulaski event is sponsored by the Phi Beta Lambda business fraternity at New River Community College.

Last year's Pulaski WalkAmerica raised more than $18,000. The goal is to exceed that amount this year.

Businesses and corporations are encouraged to register team walkers. School groups, churches, clubs, non-profit agencies and individuals also may register to walk.
