Wilfred M. Roop, age 71, of Roanoke, died Friday, March 15, 1991, in the V.A. Medical Center, Salem. He was a retired employee of Fulton Motor Company and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Iris O. Roop; one son, Cary L. Roop; three sisters, Dulcie R. Noell and Linda R. Saunders, all of Roanoke; Emily R. Tinsley, Vinton. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, with the Rev. Michael L. Slaughter officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
