NEW HERITAGE USA ENDS MEMBERSHIP PLAN

Evangelist Morris Cerullo said Saturday he will end a membership card program promising lifetime, half-price discounts at the Christian theme park former PTL leader Jim Bakker once ran.

Cerullo's business partners sued in federal court last week over the New Heritage USA program, accusing Cerullo of misusing $4 million he got from membership cards for the 2,200-acre retreat about 10 miles south of Charlotte, N.C.

Cerullo, in a statement released by his Charlotte public relations firm, said cardholders could get refunds if they wanted. - Associated Press
